Required Software Development Manager, The Manager will be part of a global team, would be leading development team single/multiple products.
Development Manager, will be responsible to provide support for single/multiple products on following line.
  • Publish the strategy/plan for every release
  • Lead technical discussions and create design documents
  • Need to have very strong hands on technical skills on Java, Junit,Websphere/Weblogic.
  • Must have proven experience in design, development, estimate, & release of product modules
  • Define product roadmap working with product management
  • Acts as Technical Lead for multiple and concurrent development projects
  • Leads development teams in the creation of new products and maintenance of others
  • Responsible for managing onshore / offshore development teams to meet project deadlines, resolving technical blocks and ensuring the highest level of quality
  • Experience in project estimation, demand management and forecasting of technical resources
  • Leads technical teams through sprints and being the conduit between management and business for all technical discussions
  • Analyzing, estimating, sizing, and writing user stories for projects (Agile SCRUM)
  • Working with Application Architects to design solutions, perform technology assessments and enforce standards and processes
  • Provides oversight and guidance for Test and QA activities including Unit, Functional, Integration, Performance, and User Acceptance
  • Responsible for enforcing coding standards and source control management
  • Responsible for the quality and timeliness of work coming from teams
  • Manage the technical development of project scope, goals, and deliverables to support business objectives as defined by project stakeholders
  • Participate in requirements gathering and solution-design sessions with business and technical resources
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve technical project issues and risks
Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 8+ years of experience
  • Proven track record creating strong business relationships across the business, and working with other project teams that span the organization
  • Strong project management and client relationship skills
  • Prior management and direct supervisory experience in a team environment
  • Self-starter and can operate independently as needed
  • A high threshold for ambiguity and lack of structure and process during early phases of engagements
  • Creative and logical problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team building skills
  • Mentoring and people development capabilities
  • Advanced listening skills and written and verbal communications
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain professional demeanor under pressure
  • Organization and time management expertise
  • 7+ years working with SQL
  • Experience working within a Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to translate business issues into technology solutions and vice versa
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology project risks and strategies for managing and mitigating them
