Madhees is looking for Senior Programmer Analyst, who can create and manage a variety of software deliverables for both internal and external customers as defined by the internal and/or external stakeholders. These deliverables may include items such as commercial software projects, automated test scripts, and embedded software development. Apply communication and problem-solving skills to actively solve software issues related to the design, development, deployment, testing, and operation of mission-critical software systems. Help develop strategies to increase quality and efficiencies in the software organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Will include the following, but other duties may be assigned:

• Work with internal and external customers to create software requirements and specifications.
• Design and develop quality software which meets the defined requirements and specifications.
• Ensuring that all software is created in adherence to the software policies and procedure.
• Help develop project plans to ensure software is developed, tested and delivered on time.
• Prepare status reports and keep management, clients and others informed of development status and related issues.
• Keep informed on recent developments in software development.
• Ensure all software related activities comply with the global Harsco compliance standards and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Demonstrate software development experience. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Demonstrate high-energy level and strong work ethics.  Ability to manage multiple tasks and issues to agreed deadlines.   Excellent customer service, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of software development tooling (SCM, debuggers, bug tracking, quality metrics) is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Strong in Web Application Development, Database Development & SQL programming, C#.NET, C++.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Mobile App Development,  Bluetooth protocols

PREFERRED DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE

Web Based Systems, Database System, Mobile Device Architecture

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Requires a Bachelor’s of Engineering Degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline or equivalent.  Preferred B.E/B.Tech. Aggregate: 70% or above.

Job Description:

The key job responsibilities include the following:

• As a Sr. Software Engineer you need to perform detailed analysis and design, technical documentation, construction and implementation, unit and integration testing, and transition and deployment of software components and systems on complex projects.
• You will also coordinate coding and testing activities and evaluate and verify various alternatives before making technical recommendations and resolving technical issues. In addition, you will coordinate various software development tasks with Development, Deployment, and Quality Assurance.
• Software prototyping and construction – Deep experience developing stored procedures, and advanced data development skills with T-SQL, generating code to extract, transform and load data, performance tuning of queries – Create prototypes, if necessary, to validate proposed solutions and seek feedback from stakeholders – Good understanding and experience following test-driven development and continuous integration practices
• Analysis and Design – Work with Project Managers and Business Analysts to properly define/clarify business requirements, development estimation, and work plan finalization – Analyze business user requests, estimate tasks throughout the project life cycle, design and document appropriate solution, and design the business components and database objects required to implement the solution – Work with the Development Team to design the front-end and back-end systems necessary to fulfill document requirements – Coordinate with peers on design implications and work with them to resolve issues
• Perform unit and integration testing on all developed code – Create and execute unit and integration tests within development lifecycle – Proactively benchmark application code to mitigate performance and scalability issues – Work with Quality Assurance Team on issue reporting, resolution, and change control
• Support and Troubleshooting – Assist Operations Team with any environment issues during application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments. – Assist Networking Group with troubleshooting problems that may arise from applications or integration of various components – Maintain application development servers with minimal assistance from Operations Group. “Train the trainers” is sometimes required depending on the complexity of the software and quality of external documentation

The key skills required are as follows:

1. 4+ years’ experience designing, building, and deploying enterprise solutions with exposure to multiple software packages/vendors, programming languages, and technology platforms
2. SQL development including queries, triggers, stored procedures, tables, constraints, and functions, logical and physical database modeling, data migration and data analysis
3. Basic experience with the .NET framework and other technologies: C#, ASP.NET, ASP, JavaScript, Visual Basic Script, transactional development, JSON, JQuery, XML, Web services
4. Basic understanding of infrastructure and security concepts.
5. Experience with SharePoint Search Indexing is a plus
6. Excellent verbal and written communication
7. Strong presentation and facilitation skills
8. Microsoft Certified Software Developer (MCSD) and/or Microsoft Certified Applications Devel oper (MCAD) a plus
9. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
