Job Description:
- Fluency in SQL and database specific programming language (PL/SQL, T-SQL etc.)
- Expert in DB performance tuning, DB defragmentation and maintenance plan for complex SQL and/or Oracle databases.
- Expert in porting data from old DB version to newer versions for Oracle and/or SQL.
- Ability to do Data Modelling including ER & dimension modelling for oracle/Sql
- Expert in physical schema design for given Database (indexing, constraints, partitioning, caching etc.
- Good knowledge of tools like jmeter, SOAP UI, Wireshark, Load runner, http watch, etc.
- Ability to understand the business applications and transaction model including end-to-end flow from ‘system’ perspective.
- A variety of debugging and optimization skills; great debugging and optimization skills in as many areas as possible not just SQL or database tuning.
- Hands on multithreading experience, preferably with pthreads.
