The role will be to join an existing strong development team and play a vital part in the development of customer facing financial application using cutting edge technologies.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/ or equivalent relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Candidate should be hands-on and have a strong analytical and technical ability with 2-3 years of experience in XQuery (MarkLogic) and 4-6 years in Core Java, Java EE and UI development
• An additional 3-4 years working on complex medium to large projects in a fast paced financial environment with experience inJavaScript/ CSS/ JSP/ Struts and should have experience with modern MVC frameworks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a key
• The position is based in Pune and requires managing day-to-day delivery work, ensuring adherence to process and quality, and identifying project/ program delivery risks and works on risk mitigation. This role requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources and applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs. The candidate will be required to work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs.

Knowledge/ Experience:

1. 3 years of MarkLogic development
2. 3 years of Java development

Required Skills:

• MarkLogic search API
• Content Management/ No-SQL database development (MarkLogic)
• Strong Core Java (Concurrent API, JDBC API, Collections API)
• Experience with XML and related technologies (XSLT and/ or XQuery)
• Spring / Hibernate/ J2EE
• Understanding of design patterns
• Strong work ethic with focus on adding value to the team
• Good oral and written communication skills

• 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE.
• Must have experience in Java/J2EE technologies including but not limited to Core Java, JMS, Servlets, JSP, Javascript and Swing.
• Must have sound working knowledge of the SPRING framework including Spring Core, Spring JDBC/Hibernate, Spring WS, Spring MVC, and Spring Integrations.
• Must have sound working knowledge in implementing SOAP-based and REST-based web services. Must have working knowledge of WS-* SOAP stack and be familiar with RESTful design practices.
• Must know XSLT for XML and Web Service payload transformations.
• Good working knowledge on Hibernate, MyBatis and/or JPA ORM framework in production code.
• Experience in building data-driven systems using core JDBC/Spring JDBC API classes, SQL, stored procedures, Oracle PL/SQl, MySQL, Informix, and MS SQL.
