Job Description:
- Managing VMware infrastructure environment.
- Installing and configuring ESXi servers-5.0 / 5.1.
- Configuring new ESXi with network and storage configuration.
- Configurations of Virtual switches and network connections.
- Configuring different port groups like VMkernel and VM port groups.
- Creation of NIC teaming, VLANs, Switches and port group policies.
- Installing, configuring and managing virtual infrastructure and virtual center.
- Installing and maintaining vCenter Server.
- Installing vCenter plugins like Update manager.
- Used VMware VSphere vCenter Update Manager to apply patches to virtual
- machines.
- Perform system trouble-shooting, performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Implementation of VSphere, users and groups management.
- Used VSphere vCenter Server to monitor virtual machine resource usage.
- Manage task, events and alarms.
- Manage users, groups, permissions and roles.
- Installation and configuration of virtual machines in an Enterprise SAN and NAS
- environment.
- Configuration and managing Fc, iSCSI, datastores.
- Creation of VMs and installing different guest OS like windows and Linux flavors.
