VMWare Consultant – 7+ Years

Hiring for VMWare Consultant with 7+ Years of Experience in VMWare,Microsoft Active Directory Services,PowerShell and SCCM Reporting.This Opportunity is with a Leading Manufacturing IT Client in Hyderabad.

Experience

• 7+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure Management
• Participate as a technical team member for projects and/or upgrades; provide recommendations and suggestions as required for the successful implementation of new systems
• Work with IT teams, decision makers and stakeholders to define requirements and feature use, work with relevant teams to initiate monitoring, automated patching cycles, operating system and software deployments following agreed practice or standards.
• Data center administration tasks including below
• Issues affecting reliability of servers and critical systems.
• Systems outages affecting business users.
• Performance degradation of data center systems / application servers.
• Escalate issues which are deemed sensitive or political and refer to senior management for guidance
• Perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
• Analyze, select and install new OS software releases and OS patches, and coordinate installs/testing/updates with appropriate Division IT management.
• Analyze OS and server functional specifications and requirements and recommend systems modifications or acquisitions.
• Analyze, maintain and periodically test disaster recovery procedures and recommend modifications.
• Responsible for executing technology refresh activities regarding outdated and discontinued hardware.
• Provide On-Call support respond to service alerts in a timely manner; work with other team members and site support staff in resolving issues; escalate system problems to management as necessary.
• Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours at times, including weekends, in support of a global organization as required.
• Provide assistance and backup support for other technical staff members, when necessary.
• Capacity Planning of Server Systems.

Certifications ( Preferred)

• Microsoft Technology Associate – MTA / Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate – MCSA, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert – MCSE
• VMware Certified Professional – Datacenter Virtualization ( VCP – DCV)
• Preferred Qualifications 

Required Skills:

• Configuration, implementation and management of IT solutions aligned with Strategy (WinTel)
• Microsoft Active Directory Services, Messaging, Office 365/ Cloud, Certificate Services / PKI, Internet Information Server, DHCP / DNS and TCPIP.
• Ability to script in PowerShell, Microsoft GPO understanding.
• Sound knowledge in Systems Management including Mobile device management and Security Areas
• Administer Virtual Systems in a VMware environment.
• System Center Operations Manager skills for handling performance management, monitoring, alerting, logging and status messages.
• Practical knowledge of Software Update Management, advertisements and software distribution, application packaging, SCCM Client Action Center, Software Metering, SCCM Client Center.
• SCCM reporting and analysis especially SQL reporting services (SRS.)
• Good desktop OS exposure (primarily Windows 7).
• Administer enterprise backup software (Commvault)
• Administer Lync on-prem and cloud environments
