Global Tax Manager - 6+ Years

Job Summary:

• To assist with the management of the group’s tax charge and the minimisation of the group tax liabilities.
• Involvement in tax reporting, transaction work and the management of transfer pricing documentation.
• Active involvement in a wide range of advisory work, including international tax issues, CFC reviews, R&D reviews, HMRC Enquiries, etc.
• Dealing with compliance and reporting work in this role.
• Candidates with broad experience dealing with a range of industry sectors and ideally experience of LLP and Trust tax implications and regulatory requirements.
• Candidate will have a focus on Global VAT/GST tax projects, research and implementation relating to new legislation and new business initiatives, process improvement and internal controls.
• The role will also involve providing support to Payroll for the delivery of PAYE/RTI/ESI compliance, and to ensure all non-payroll compliance obligations are met on a timely basis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• This role would suit a bright individual with a strong academic background, who has proven large group corporate tax experience either from a Big 4 firm or in-house.
• Ideally you will be a Tax qualified accountant (ATT/CTA/ADIT).
• The ideal candidate will have experience in managing transaction tax projects, co-ordinating tax audits and administrative rulings.
• Have a wide general understanding of local and international taxes (UK and US) and a detailed technical knowledge of one or more broad areas of tax.
• Be a highly organized person with considerable practical experience of tax work – this could have been gained in either the public or private sector.
• Understand current developments and significant changes in the tax landscape including HMRC’s Making Tax Digital project.
• Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and can gain credibility with stakeholders.
