SCCM – System Engineer II (Location: Hyderabad)

Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration- EUC for complex operating Systems. Provide general and routine technical support to a broad range of installation, patching, configuration, and updates to Operating Systems and non-OS vendor application requiring the ability to research, analyze, and resolve problems effectively to meet established performance metrics. Collaborates and contributes with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. May require on-call availability and may require working during non-business hours and on weekends.

Primary Responsibilities

• • Administration and Support for Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager 
• • Own and develop the technical roadmap for End User Computing at global level
• • Develop and maintain systems installation and configuration procedures
• • Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
• • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary
• • Research and implement new technologies in End User Computing arena

Basic Qualifications

A. Education

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Information Systems. Relevant Industry Standard Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, ITIL

B. Experience

• 6+ years in Information Technology with at least 3+ years as an system administration- EUC in a Global Corporation

A. Education or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems
• 4+ Years as an System Administrator- EUC in a global enterprise
• MCSE, MCSA, ITIL Certifications

B. Interpersonal Skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data
• Ability to write in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions

C. Role Specific skills and experience

• Administer and pro-actively monitor the global SCCM Infrastructure
• Automate the Client Health Infrastructure and ensure 100% windows systems are managed using SCCM
• Increase the overall optimization and standardization of our workstations
• Maintain and optimize OS Imaging Standards
• Lead global application rollouts (in coordination with Application Packaging Team) and communicate with stakeholders
• Ensure quarterly OS Image update process and assist Technical Services Team with media based deployments
• Responsible for setting up new SCCM servers and decommission as appropriate
• Monthly rollout of Microsoft OS and Application Patches. Manage the patching process and communicate with teams globally. Assist in testing as needed
• Expert knowledge of application deployment using Microsoft SCCM
• Expert Knowledge of Monthly Patching for Microsoft and Business Applications
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
• Scripting Experience
• VDI knowledge will be a Plus

D. Other Skills

• Ability to effectively plan and organize
• Project and program management planning and organizational skills
• Customer service orientation
